I have been coaching for 6 years primarily out of the Morrisville / Cary area, working with a wide array of children and adults. I have taken kids from never hitting a tennis ball to playing in Junior Team Tennis and emphasize heavily on positive mental and emotional attitude when playing along with proper technique and footwork.
Basic tennis strokes and coordination will be taught. Junior and Adult Academy: Offers the opportunity to learn the sport of tennis for various levels in a larger group setting. The Anne Marie Tennis Center has 18 lighted courts and is one that offers a hitting wall, a facility that is also available at Blossom Tennis Center, which has 14 lighted courts. The YMCA is an active one and has 10 tennis courts, with private lessons, group clinics and USTA league games all available.
Juniors & Youth Tennis Programs. The GWTA offers many free and low cost tennis programs for kids and youth players. In addition, there are many private and public facilities that offer lessons, clinics and camps for beginner to advanced tennis players. GWTA’s tennis programs are designed to accommodate players of all ages and abilities.
Home. Hidden away in the West End of Aberdeen is Rubislaw Tennis Club, an outdoor club offering 3 floodlit artificial clay courts for its members. These new artificial clay courts were laid at the end of 2017 and were the first of their kind in the North East of Scotland. During 2020 the club had new LED lighting installed.
